Do the little things

It was St David who in his final words to his followers said “Be Joyful, Keep the Faith and Do the little things”. How often have you heard these phrases in the last 2 years?

When the corona virus lock down hit in March 2020 the rest of the world joined the slow living concept. We were joined in doing the little things, in appreciating these, our family, friends, community, and a simpler life.

We’ve always been great in Wales at enjoying the little things and finding joy;

We have a daffodil as our national flower. One of the simplest and common flowers that we take great joy from.

As a country, we’ve turned watching of a rugby game to almost religion status (It’s not “just” a rugby game)

If you turn up at a house with a home made batch of Welsh cakes, (so simple to make!) you’ll always be welcomed.

You turn on your choice of Welsh music and immediately smile.

You’re never far away from beautiful scenery, whether countryside or seaside, it’s here on our doorstep AND we enjoy it!

As we celebrate St David’s Day on 1st March, it’s the perfect time to reiterate these messages. Be Joyful! Keep the Faith! Do the little things!

We’d love to hear from you and how you “Do the little things” Share on Instagram #waystocwtch
